How you can build your list with 1,000’s a day

Are you building your mailing list by a few dozen names a day? Even if you are getting a hundred opt-ins to your list a day, let me ask you this question: What would it mean to your business to be able to build your list by over a thousand names a day - all highly targeted to your product or service? Sound impossible? - Well it's not, and I'll show you quite precisely how to do just that in this article.

Let's set this up first. The general rule of thumb in Internet marketing is that a good list should make you about a dollar per name per month if you play the game right. For more details www.freelist-pro.com That means if you have a list of about 1,000 subscribers to your newsletter or mini-course, you should be able to pull in about $1,000 a month by mailing to them a couple times a week with a thinly disguised newsletter in which you promote your own products or those of another as an affiliate. I've found this to be about right.

Here is how it works and I cannot begin to tell you how my list building has ballooned exponentially since I implemented this program. I picked a niche in which I was involved in selling both products of my own and products of others. I went to Clickbank, PayDotCom, Commission Junction and Google to find the key players in this niche. I visited their sites and almost always was hit with a pop-up ad to sign up for their newsletter or mini-course. I signed up for all of these.

I started getting their newsletters. (This gave me their email addresses, either from the emails themselves, or - if they used an auto-responder such as AWebber - they are required to give their contract info at the bottom of each mailing).

I then created a few 20-page booklets that would appeal to people on these "guru's" mailing lists. You must make such ebooklets (PDF files) very, very good! I then sent emails to the gurus explaining how important it is to provide their readers with free valuable content from time to time. (They know this!) I wrote a little one-paragraph blurb for them they could insert into their newsletter so their readers could download my ebook for free. NOTE: I do not give the gurus the ebook and let their readers download it from their site - this would do me no good. The blurb would look like this...

"Hey, I just ran across a little ebook by Mike McMillan titled, xxxxxxxxxxx, and it was fascinating. I talked to Mike about letting my readers download a copy and he graciously agreed. Anyway, you really should check this out. It contains a ton of valuable info I have not seen elsewhere. For more details www.mailing-lists-m
anager.com But Mike agreed to leave his free download link up for only 7 days. So go there now and swipe a copy while you can. This stuff is good - and you can get it right now for free. Go to dot com."

Now, in my email to the gurus I explain that the link will not take their visitors directly to a download page for my free ebook. It will take them to a squeeze page where they must input their name email address. When they do so and sign up for my free newsletter, they will get an auto-responder reply immediately with a link to the PDF file. If they don't give up their name and email, they don't get squat!

Do you see what is happening? This is pure gold! Suppose the guru is mailing to his list of 20,000 names. Suppose only 50% of his subscribers open and read his email. Of those 10,000 names, suppose that 30% of them click on my link and opt-in to my newsletter to get my free ebook. That's 3,000 names I just added to my own list in about 24 hours of his mailing.

This is a scalable process. It can be done over and over again. The first time I tried this I sent out 7 proposals to some big list owners. Of those seven, three accepted my offer! This was huge. Two were top Clickbank publishers with mega-lists and one was just a mega-list owner in my niche. I continue to do this again and again with explosive list-building success.

This works and works wickedly well.
